Terms
The agreement between you and LaqtaRoom for the use of LaqtaRoom.

1. Who these terms are with
LaqtaRoom is provided by LaqtaRoom, Beirut, Lebanon. Using the service means accepting these terms. If you are using it for a business, you confirm you may accept them on that business’s behalf.
2. Accounts
You need an account to upload work; your clients do not need one to view it. You must give an email address you control, keep your password to yourself, and be at least 18. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@laqtaroom.com if you think someone else has got into it.
Access is currently granted by us rather than purchased on the site. There is no charge at present. If charging is introduced, you will be told before it applies to you and given the chance to stop.
3. Your work stays yours
You keep every right in the photographs, video and text you upload. Nothing here transfers ownership, and we do not use your work to promote LaqtaRoom or for any other purpose of our own.
You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your files, to make the smaller versions and thumbnails required to show them in a browser, to apply any watermark you configure, and to transmit them to the people you share a room with.
When you delete something, that permission narrows immediately to what is needed to finish deleting it: holding the copy in the trash so you can restore it, and holding whatever sits in a backup taken before you deleted it. It ends entirely once those copies are gone — see section 7 for how long that takes.
4. What you upload
You confirm that you have the right to upload what you upload, and to share it with the people you share it with. That includes the consent of anyone recognisable in it, where consent is needed.
You may not use LaqtaRoom to store or distribute:
- material that is unlawful, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
- material depicting the abuse or sexual exploitation of children;
- material intended to harass, threaten or defame someone;
- malware, or anything designed to interfere with the service or its users.
We do not review what you upload. If we are told about something in this list, or find it, we may remove it and suspend the account.
5. Sharing rooms
A room link is unguessable, but for a room set to link access the link is the whole secret and anyone holding it can open the room. Choosing how a room is protected — an open link, a shared password, or admitting people one at a time — is your decision, and so is who you send the link to. We are not responsible for a link you passed on.
6. Fair use of the service
Do not try to break into rooms or accounts that are not yours, work around a password or approval gate, scrape the service, overwhelm it with automated requests, or resell it as your own product.
7. Deletion and retention
You can delete a file or a room yourself at any time. Deleted items sit in the trash for 10 days, so a mistake can be undone, and are then erased. Database backups are kept for 14 days by default and overwritten on that rotation, so a copy persists there until the last backup taken before the deletion ages out.
Closing an account is not self-service yet. Write to support@laqtaroom.com and we will disable the account and then erase it and everything in it, on the schedule above. Some records outlive that — what you contributed to other people’s rooms, access logs, and backups — and the privacy policy lists them.
If we close your account for a breach of these terms, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to retrieve your work first, unless the law prevents it.
8. Availability
We work to keep LaqtaRoom running and quick, but it is provided as it is. We do not promise a particular level of uptime, and maintenance sometimes means an interruption.
Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. LaqtaRoom is a delivery tool, not a backup service, and should not be the only place a client’s work exists.
9. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. If a change matters, the date at the top changes and account holders are told before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means accepting the new version.
10. Ending it
You can stop using LaqtaRoom at any time, and ask us to close your account as described in section 7. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or withdraw the service entirely on reasonable notice.
